There
will be a Public Forum on the 21st Century
School Buildings Program on September 10, 6pm-8:30pm at the Baltimore Design
School. The forum will feature presentations from city and
state officials and allow the public to ask questions and join in discussions
about various aspects of the program in smaller breakout sessions.
This
is the first public forum on the program since the the $1 billion school
construction bill passed in Annapolis in 2013. Year 1 schools are deep
into the design phase and construction on the first schools will begin early
next year. Year 2 schools are just getting started.
In
addition to getting updates on the school building projects, there's going to
be a presentation on LOCAL HIRING and
student apprenticeship opportunities - which we all know
is desperately needed. To ensure that this program brings the best
education to city students and job opportunities to those in need, please come
out and make your voice heard!

the announcement pasted below.
Please share and publicize this forum widely. Thank you and please
contact me if you have any questions.
