Neighborhood Hi-Light: 2014 Review

The year 2014 was a pretty good one for WPNNA. We committed the year to civic service, community activism and engaging our youth.

In January we hit the ground running with volunteering for a day of Service in honor of Martin Luther King at Walter P. Carter Elementary School. In the early spring we reclaimed a community dumping ground by cleaning it and establishing a compost site there for the Gather Baltimore markets we hosted. In the late summer we fought a proposed liquor establishment in the neighborhood, held the 2nd annual National Night Out event, organized youth community clean ups and restarted the prayer walks into the fall.

We look forward to what 2015 has in store and working with community members to make this a great place to live, work and play!!!!!!!!
